Let's Do Launch #47
Something about massages makes me uncomfortable. The idea of someone rubbing their hands all over me is just too...intimate. I've never had one in my life.
That is, until last week.
I decided to give it a try and, to be honest, I don't think I did it right. But it's for that reason that I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
My friends all told me that I'm supposed to lay there in silence for an hour, subtly drifting in and out of consciousness. But I did the exact opposite. I talked with my masseuse the entire time. About everything.
We went really deep. Like, deeper than the knuckles she was grinding into my traps and tris. I learned about her life story, and she shared her biggest fears with me.
There was one thing she said that really stood out to me. She believes that the biggest problem people have, and what is at the root of most of the world's problems, is low self-worth.
If people valued themselves more, they wouldn't make so many of the decisions that destroy our relationships every day.
